I have the PVR500 with sage - had a glitch last night.

(channel 8)
8:30 Simpsons until 9:00
9:00 Family Guy until 9:30
9:30 American Dad until 10:00

(channel 4)
9:00 Criminal Intent until 10:00

Now, the unit was in "sleep" mode - so no tuners were being used to watch TV. Family Guy did NOT record. All other shows recorded properly.

Is there something I can do to make it not do this again? Family Guy is #1 on my "favorites" list, so I assumed that meant "come hell or high water, it'll record...."

Thank goodness I didn't disconnect the VCR yet..... Thanks for any insight....

It should still be listed in the LiveTV Guide grid -- go back a day & look: is there a white border around that show? If not, it isn't a fav. Does your fav for it include First Runs?

Is the favorite set to Keep At Most N number of shows & not auto delete? If so, maybe it reached its max & stopped recording new shows.

Does a file for the show exist on the hard drive?

Were there any conflicts on the Recording Conflicts screen? That screen also includes resolved conflicts, so if it is something automatically resolved, you won't see a notice on teh menu header, but there is a listing on the conflicts menu. Check that menu a couple days before next Sunday.

Finally, perhaps it did record, but there was a recording glitch & SageTV dumped the file since it wasn't recorded properly.

I have just installed the software about 3 days ago, so the keep at most etc- doesn't really exist....

I checked the guide when I got home - has the white bar around it. Guess I'll wait until next week and not change anything to see if it tries to hit it (looking in the upcoming recordings first...)
There weren't any recording conflicts either...? No trace of the file, if it did record at one point. Asked my wife if we had a power outage during that time - again, a no....
