How to stop grabber mucking up Sage Channel listing

Hi, I have a question having just configured Sage for Sky+ through the composite input.

I'm using the Birtles Grabber to get Radio Times info into Sage using the XMLTV plugin. When I refreshed the Channel list in the grabber and added some new channels, my Sage channel ordering was messed up. The Sky lineup that I took ages to organise is still there, but there are now duplicate channel entries enabled with the original XMLTV channel numbers and, as well as remap the new channels, I now need to go through the whole lineup again and deactivate all the duplicates.
Will this happen every time I update the grabber's channel listing? Is there any way to avoid this happening?

Thanks to everyone who contributes to this forum. The advice here was invaluable for setting up the Sky/Sage combo last week. Much appreciated.Also, I'm using the Dusky Controls box with Placeshifter(http://www.dusky-control.com/) which I can highly recommend in terms of service and effectiveness.
