A Couple of questions about the HD-200

After reading the manual and looking over the forum, I have a question on supported video. I have a lot of Xvid content, and when I play it now with my MVP it absolutely kills my SageServer (which I also use as a computer). As you can guess, this is sometimes unacceptable.

I am considering the purchase of the HD-200 but before I do, I want to make sure it will natively play Xvid and Divx files. So, does it?

Thanks in advance,
Rob Hix

How so? The only sound issues I have ever had with either my HD100 or HD200 is if the audio track is DTS and it is not rurnning thru a device that can decode DTS (aka a receiver). I just make sure all my DVD's are set to Dolby Digital....

Any other issues anyone else is having? Maybe I missed something.

I play my rips through my reciever that can run just fine.
I've learned that there is issues with the rips and not ripping them thourghly....they play fine on the computer, but not on the HD200.

I have over 400 DVD rips on my system and the HD200 plays them fine. (As does my HD100 and the PC clients) DD 5.1 through my receiver over optical and the HD200 attached over HDMI to my 42" plasma. The way to have little to no issues with your rips is to follow the Sage manual and to place them in the DVD format with a VIDEO_TS folder. I've ripped the DVDs full and ripped the movie only. ALso removed all unecessary audio tracks. Every one plays and the full rips have menus that work fine. People usually have issues when converting or transcoding them to different formats or containers.
