Which remap options to use?

The two channels in question:

12 - SDTV Cable
54-1 HDTV OTA

They are both the same channel, but unfortionately Zap2It does not carry the complete EPG data via SageTV for the OTA channel. It is correct on the web, just not in SageTV.

I would like to keep both channels in the guide, just clone the EPG data for channel 12 onto channel 54-1.

I tried the "map different station to this physical channel". Now the EPG correctly shows 54-1 data, but channel 12 disappeared from the EPG.

With of the other options would work better? This is not very well explained in the manual. Would be nice to see some pictures of the changes (hint hint).

thanks,
dave

If you remap the station, both channels will be the same station & thus will be merged in the guide. If one is HD and one is SD, then you will run into airings being marked as HD when they are not, or vice versa.

If the OTA channel isn't listed in your lineup, then I think your only options are to let it use the listings from its broadcast stream, map it to some other station like you did, or try adding the channel using the station ID number from the Zap2it site. Adding the channel using the Zap2it ID will only result in getting EPG data if SageTV happens to have access to the station's listings even though it isn't part of the lineup it shows to you; i.e.: if it isn't an OTA-only station as far as Zap2it's listings are concerned.

Both channels are listed in the EPG, its just that the OTA one has only partial EPG data. I just want the EPG data from channel 12 copied to channel 54-1.
