Closed captioning?
I am trying to help out someone who needs closed captioning on the Popcorn Hour and he bought one partly because I told him I can get "cc in mpeg" support over SD composite from both analog and digital captures from my HVR 1600 even in live tv. He can't get it to work and there doesn't seem to be any vendor support so I figure it is just the Sigma library providing this functionality and I am lucky with my configuration, although I can play his sample too.
Does anyone know if cc in mpeg-based closed captioning works with the HD200 and if so does it work over all the video outputs? I am not asking about DVB mpeg-ts text/subtitles, but if those work I would be interested in knowing too. If it does I'd like to get the information to him while he still can return his player. Thanks, Martin |

I am surprised that no one knows the answer. I kind of hoped that the HD200 would have this feature since it is the most TV oriented extender that isn't MCE based available. Oh well now on to CCExtractor.
