Question Blackberry Curve video conversion profile?

Does anyone have a profile for converting to a blackberry curve video format? If so, could you post your entries from your Sage.properties.

If not, then I guess I'll have to figure it out myself

Thanks,

I don't, but if you find anything, make sure to post it here, could use it myself (although I have a sneaking suspicion I'll be getting a Storm quite soon, and it's x264 compatible (unlike the Curve)).

Well, after some trial and error, this seems to work ok for the tv shows that i've tried so far....

Code:
transcoder/formats/Blackberry-Curve\ Good\ Quality=f\=mp4;MCompressionDetails\=-maxrate 700000 -bufsize 33554432 -g 300;[bf\=vid;f\=mpeg4;br\=700000;fps\=24;w\=320;h\=240;arn\=4;ard\=3;][bf\=aud;f\=aac;sr\=44100;ch\=2;br\=64000;]
From what i've seen online, you can even drop the fps to 12, but that seems low. I guess the max bitrate is 800k, but at 800k I had some stuttering, so I dropped it to 700k.

I toyed with the idea of getting a storm, but the lack for wifi was show stopper for me. I settled for the curve with wifi, and I've been very happy.

I'm on Verizon, so my curve is sans-wifi (why would they have to take that out to make the phone CDMA, really? :P). I've pretty well decided against the Storm for the time being (too may issues, and although I'm ok with the typing on it, if you're not looking at the phone you can miss key things pretty easily). Now if verizon gets the Bold or the new 8900 Curve, I'll definitely pick one of those up and retire my existing 8330 Curve...

Thanks so much for posting this. I tried it on my new Javelin and it works great. I upped the screen size to the Javelin resolution and converted 3 movies and 5 TV shows. Watched a few on a business trip this last week and it worked great (ideal for passing the time on the plane). It is really nice to be able to take SageTV recordings with me with out too much effort.

Thanks again.

I agree it's nive to have the shows on the go.... I spend a fair of time in waiting rooms (kids lessons for various things), so it's nice to be able to pass time by watching TV And I also like to load it up when I'm travelling.
