Anyone have 5.1 working with FIOS and HD PVR?

I am just curious if anyone has it working. I have not tried it recently. I am using 1.0.5.3 and that seems to be working fine. I have not tried SPDIF lately, but just curious if any one has gotten it to work yet.

Thanks

I had issues with it, but I think that is 5.1 and the hdpvr.

I recently contacted Hauppauge about this issue and this was thier response on 12/30/2008.

Hello,

Engineering is working on a fix for this issue which affects FiOS boxes but have not said when it will be available.

Thumbs up 7100 5.1 Works!

Not sure anyone has reported this. I swapped out two fios SD set top boxes for HD this week and was sent 2 QIP 7100s. I have 2 HD PVRs that had been hooked to QIP 6200s, and I had been forced to use stereo audio because of the 5.1 audio "under water" problem. I am happy to report the 7100 audio sounds great over 5.1. Also, so far I have great sync, too. I know people have had a hard time getting Verizon to swap boxes out for 7100s but it is worth trying if you can.

interesting. I probably won't try to swapping boxes until the summer when things slow down from a recording stand point. Also, I don't don't remember how I set up firewire, so I don't want to mess with it right now.

thanks for the update!!!
