				Migrating from MCE2005...

I just got STV for Christmas, and I am trying to set it up and am having a bit of trouble. All I want to setup at the moment is the DVD playback section. I have all my DVD's ripped from DVDFab (main movie only) but the they are in multi-part VOBs. Also I was using MyMovies 2 for the front end so only the folder of each movie was named. Everything is just so different. I just want a "Watch DVD" interface that opens up the DVDs with cover art and I can then play them. Where do I start? Thank you for any help. Sus |

I point Sage to: D:\Movies\ Within the Movies are this: D:\Movies\Batman Begins\Audio_TS\ D:\Movies\Batman Begins\Video_TS\ D:\Movies\Italian Job\Audio_TS\ D:\Movies\Italian Job\Video_TS\ etc. etc. etc. Sage then shows in the Media Center > DVD tab Batman Begins folder/DVD Icon Italian Job folder/DVD Icon If I click on either icon it plays back the movie. I too use DVDFab and only rip Main movies and it works perfectly. Edit: I actually use a fileserver to store all of my DVD's seperate from my Sage server, so I actually don't point Sage to the D: drive but the example above should get you started.

Thank you for the reply Paul. The issue I think, is I have it setup like this: D:\DVD\Film\The Matrix\<VOBs 1-4> I am missing ...\The Matrix\Video_TS\<VOBs 1-4> Could that be the problem? Again, thank you for the help. Sus |

Okay so I moved all of my VOBs into VIDEO_TS folders and they now show up under DVD. Perfect! I have another question: If I have a series (Firefly), and I have the full discs ripped (menus and all), there are 4 total discs and all 4 show up in the DVD menu. Is there a way to make them a drill down? So under DVD there is only one Firefly master item, and when I click on that I get to the 4 discs? I just want to unclutter the interface. Thanks. Sus |

Are you using the SageMC add-on UI or just the basic SageTV default STV?

Hey Brent, Until late last night (while still learning/setting up) I was using the default. I installed SageMC last night though, and it seems to be running well. Is there something I need to do to set it up this way? Also, can you do Pandora in STVMC or Netflix Watch Now? Brett, your blog is a daily visit for me and is really good! Keep it up. Sus |

Both Pandora and Netflix Watch Now work in SageMC. These two plugins don't work with the extenders though unless you're willing to do the "hack" |
