Issues migrating to "Service" Mode
I have been successfully using Sage 6 for several weeks "stand-alone" without the "service" enabled. Now I am trying to enable the service. After I enable the service and then launch the UI, my favorites are gone, my recordings are gone, etc. If I stop the UI and the service and then re-run the UI stand-alone, everything is back to normal. How can run in "Service" Mode and not lose all my information in the UI? Any help is appreciated.

Is the SageTVService.exe process actually running on your system? If it is, do you have a firewall set strict enough that sagetv.exe can't talk to SageTVService.exe?

It appears my problem was that my SageTvService was using a different login than my client. When I made the service login with my standard login and copied Sage.properties to SageClient.properties, all seemed to work well. Does that make sense? Thanks for your assistance.
