Solution: DVI->HDMI= Black Screen

In my setup, I use a dvi-hdmi cable to connect my Sage server to my plasma.
Every now and then, when I turn on the TV while Sage is already running (recording my favorite), I will see a black screen like the computer is off or something. I simply cannot get anything output on my TV even though I know Sage is running OK (my SageClient connect to this server OK), unless I reboot the machine (sometimes standby and then wake-up helps).

After searching around, I finally come up with a working solution using the following script to rotate my screen 90 degree and then back. This seems to force my Nvidia driver re-detect my screen again, and I get my screen back. I simply put them in a batch file and invoke it through GhostEvent when necessary.

rundll32.exe NvCpl.dll, dtcfg rotate 0 90
rundll32.exe NvCpl.dll, dtcfg rotate 0 0

I have been going through the Nvidia Control Panel API looking for a solution, so far this is the first working combination. Maybe you can find a more elegant solution!

For ATI card owners, I found "hdmion". But it does not bring back my screen on my Nvidia card.
