Does the Asus My Cinema-PE9400 Tuner Work with SageTV?

Anyone know if the Asus My Cinema-PE9400 Tuner works with SageTV? I haven't found any references on these forums about that tuner, but though maybe someone had tried it before.

I have a friend considering moving from VMC to SageTV, but needs support for that tuner in SageTV to even try it out.

Sorry to bump this. I have a PE-9400 as well, works fine with WMC for Windows 7 rc 7100 (x86), however I haven't made the switch to Windows 7 yet, and was looking for TV Tuner software for windows XP. The card came with TotalMedia 3.5, however the EPG doesn't work, not as many channels are picked up by the scan, and sometimes it crashes when changing channels. I figure I'd try the trial of SageTV. I downloaded it today, and was going through setup. It saw my Asus Tuner card, and asked if it was antennae or cable and all the other good stuff, and began to scan, but after the scan it said "The channel scan found 0 tunable channels." I tried it again with another setting (changed "digital cable" to simply "cable" for input) yet still 0 channels. I'm trying to tune to clearQAM from Comcast. As I have stated, I know we have some channels sent in the clear due to WMC and TotalMedia. Is there something special I need to do in order to get clearQAM to work with SageTV, or is my tuner card simply not compatible with this software?

Thanks.

It depends on the model card being used. There are cards from those manufacturers that don't work with Sage. There is a thread here of cards that do and don't work with Sage that users have tested.

Exclamation Asus My Cinema-PE9400

I have a Asus My Cinema-PE9400 and see no one has posted about it in this thread. I have it hooked up to the cable, trying to get clearQAM, and the scan cannot find any channels. Is it safe to say this card is not compatible, or are there other things I could do to test?

Oh, sorry for posting in the incompatible hardware thread. I misunderstood the above post.

But with that said, is it safe to say this card is incompatible if it cannot find any channels? Should I e-mail support?

Thanks.
