YouTube in High Def (720p)
Is there any way to add this capability to Sage for YouTube videos.
By changing that fmt variable to &fmt=22 or tacking on &ap=%2526fmt%3D22 to the embed URLs—Youtube will kick out compatible videos at a whopping 720p resolution. Check this link for more details. http://www.hackszine.com/blog/archiv...C-7G2N43923558 |

Thanks -- I can look into whether this is something we can use in SageTV.

I can't resist saying this is working & will be in the next beta. You can choose whether to have it try the 720p, SD high res, or SD low res on the first attempt to play the video. If the first download attempt fails (maybe that video res isn't available), it tries the next lower resolution(s) for the higher res settings. If your bandwidth isn't high enough to play the 720p video while it downloads, it asks if you want to use a lower res in the future (you could just pause a while to let it buffer a bit if you want). Works pertty well in my testing.
