Tuning delay parameter in linux

Does anyone know if this option is available in the Linux version? I have not been successful in seeing any difference with this parameter set. I am having difficulty with my HD-PVR and the video "freezing" after a channel change via an IR Blaster. For some reason, when my DirecTV H20 changes channel, it confuses the HD-PVR and the video stops working. I figured this parameter would allow the box to tune the new channel before encoding began.

I suppose my other option is to get off of my butt and setup serial control, but you know...

thx
