Setting Permanent Conflict Priority

Hey all,

Is there a way to set up some sort of permanent conflict priority for favorite or manual recordings? I am a big hockey fan -- I live on the West Coast and my team is based in the East. That means the games start at 4pm PST while I am at work. I will often find that when I come home, another Favorite or Manual recording has recorded instead of the game (usually when I forget to run through the recording conflicts).

It would be cool if there was a way to set a permanent conflict priority for certain favorite or manual recordings i.e. to be able to set a show with a priority setting so that it will always record and over-ride any other favorite or manual recording that has been set.

Any thoughts on how this sort of thing might be done?

By definition, Manual Recordings always have priority; you cannot have a Fav automatically record instead of a Manual Recording.

Favorite priority is determined by its relative position in the list of Favs -- see the Favorites Manager section of the SageTV PDF manual, starting around p. 65 for v6.4. Priority info is on pages 66-67. You can also adjust priority on the conflict resolution screen by choosing to always record one Fav over another.

If you have conflicting airings from the same Fav, there is no priority adjustment & I'm not sure how it chooses one -- the earlier airing show maybe?.
