xmltv + OTA guide

When you add a DVB-S (freesat) source and specify no lineup, sage will pick up and display the on now and on next guide data for ALL channels.

If you use xmltv you can obviously get better future guides for all the main channels. However, xmltv does not get data for them all as far as I can see. For those it does not know about you get "No Data" in the guide.

Why, when it does not have a entry for channel, does it not just show the default now/next that would be available if no lineup was specified?

This would seem possible. xmltv for the channels you are bothered about and then the default now/next for the dross.

Can this already be done, and I just don't know how?

I think it would need to be a different tuner source for you to use a different approach for the guide. I guess you don't have 2 tuners so if you really want to give this a try you might need DVBViewer Network Encoder to split up your sources. I wouldn't go down this route.

I appreciate the struggles you are having but our choices for guide sources are improving. Have you had a look at using Digiguide or the MCE source data? it is much more complete than radio times.

I've got full sky and my data is pretty much complete so I would be astounded if the data for freesat isn't available.
