LM Gestion XMLTV Importer + lost program guide

hi,

im using lm gestion xmltv importer to feed an epg into the latest sage beta.

ever since i upgraded from v5 my program guide screen is blank except for one channel and i cant watch any channel other than that one.

running the importer by hand doesnt note any errors and the files in 3rdPartyGuideData have an updated timestamp.

however the timestamp on xmltv.log is not updated.

has anyone got any tips/ideas?

thanks for your help,

colm

As Nielm said, make sure you are using the latest version of the Importer.

That said, the fact that the xmltv.log file is not at all updated make me think that the java plugin is not called. So I would recommend you to shut down SageTV completely, then uninstall the Importer and reinstall it and restart SageTV.

If you have upgraded to the new beta maybe you have made a clean install and as such the sagetv.properties does not contain anymore the reference to the java plugin.

Regards,
Stéphane.

You just have to uninstall it from the Add / Remove Programs applet in Windows Control pannel. Then you use the installer to install the Importer again (you must uninstall and install while SageTV is completely shutdown).

this line : epg/epg_import_plugin=xmltv.XMLTVImportPlugin

there is also a xmltv.properties files that should contain this line :
ThirdPartyGuideDataPath=C:\\Program Files\\SageTV\\SageTV\\3rdPartyGuideData

Regards,
Stéphane.

hi stephane,

the overnight scheduled run or perhaps sagetv reload appear to have cleared the problem.

thanks for your help,

colm

Does this latest version (2.0?) of the importer still work with v5 of Sage?
I am trying to update as many of the add-ons and add0-ins I have before actually upgrading Sage.

Thanks,
