Qam channels messing up my STB channels

Ok, I am running a STB and QAM. The QAM channels that my tuner found (which I remapped probably incorrectly) took over the STB channels in the guide. For example, when I try to tune into channel 5, Sage uses the QAM tuner and my STB channel 5 is missing (Yes it is enabled in channel setup). How do I fix this? Thanks

What do you mean "missing"? Sage combines all lineups into a single guide, you won't see multiple entries for channels on different tuners.

From what I understand Sage is going to pick the best source first if it has a choice. One would assume that your STB is connected to an analog capture device and that would be less desirable than your QAM tuner. Sage also likes to combine both channels in the EPG if the descriptions and channel number are the same and it makes it seem like one disappears.

Try setting a manual recording for your QAM tuner on another Qam channel and then select channel 5 from your program guide to see if it tunes from your STB.

edit: Stanger said it better than I could have

I'm pretty sure the numbers don't need to be the same, if the callsigns match, Sage will "merge" them.

ok, makes sense. It actually works out fine, because I still have those "missing" channels via the HD versions.
