Upcoming Shows Have Grey Dot

I'm not certain if this is a SageMC question or an overall SageTV question, but here goes.
I've done a complete reinstall of Sage. I'm running a dedicated server and using clients only fo playback. However, when I set up my series recordings, I noticed that nearly all of them will not be recording. When I look at the upcoming shows in the search results, they all have a grey dot next to them instead of the red one. What does the grey dot mean???
I know that it's not an issue of these items already being recorded because this is a fresh Sage instal, and it can not be a channel issue because I have set them to record on all channels, and to record first run as well as re-runs.

Any pointers?

The gray icon is an indicator that the airing belongs to one of your existing favorites, but will not be recorded. There are a number of reasons a particular airing will not be recorded. I believe they are covered in the FAQ. For example, they may be alternate airings of an episode that is already scheduled to record. HTH

Aloha,
Mike

IIRC, it means that it is showing up as being set as one of your favorites, but is not within the "lookahead" setting. In other words, if your lookahead setting is 24 or 72 hours, then until the show is within that time frame, it will never show that it is a red dot (that it will record it). The search function, IIRC, lets you see out 2 weeks, that is why they show up as gray.

If you find that you are within the lookahead time frame, and they are still gray, then I'm not sure what is going on. I forgot where this setting is located, if you can even adjust it via a menu or not, I remember having to set it in the properties file, and it is not a straight forward number, such as hours or days, but requires some calculation. You may want to search on lookahead, and see if you find anything. I'm pretty sure that is what it was called.

The reason they are gray, is because Sage has not assigned a tuner to them, or determined if there is a conflict. They only turn red, when they have been processed by the Sage scheduler.

Bingo!
It was the lookahead option. I poked around, found the value to put in for 7 days (Yeah, I know...converting 7 days to milliseconds is not all that tough...but searching for 'lookahead' is much easier!)

Thanks guys!
