Schedule Recordings->Search lists old shows

How do i remove the old shows from the search list under Schedule Recordings-> Search->TV. For instance, i recorded the 2007 Tour de France Preview which has no future airings, but it shows up under search with only Past Airings being listed. Several shows i have recorded are there. I even get some imported shows and shows that are current recordings but without future airing. And no, i'm not searching videos.

It searches the entire TV database, not just future airings. Ther isn't a setting to change that on the Search screen.

So it is normal for it to list shows you cannot record and cannot view?

Yes -- for one thing, that's a way to add a Favorite for a show that is not airing again in the near future.

Just searched the forum to find a solution to this very same problem, and of course found this thread.
Is there still no way to dissable past airings?
9 times out of 10 they're a hinderance rather than a help, so the option to toggle them on and off would be very handy.

example.
The OTA epg in the UK doesn't come with any catagories like movies, so I'll often search for "(" as almost all movies have the year of release surrounded by brackets in their info. This then brings up a list of all the movies in the current EPG. But now that my machine has been up and running for a while, that search includes considerably more past airings than future one's.

There are a whole host of other examples I've come across, but I won't bore you with the whole list
The only good reason I can think of is the one you mentioned above, and since most things are aired on a weekly or daily basis, a search would bring up the next available future airing anyway.
