That's a very generic error. It basically just means the video driver crashed for some reason and Windows is restarting it. I get that error every day or two on my Vista 32-bit machine with a ATI 3850 video card. For me it's almost certainly due to running dual monitors. A lot of other people are experiencing that error for various reasons. Sometimes it's due to hardware defects. Sometimes it's just due to ATI's Vista drivers not being that great.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's either a hardware defect or if your hardware is overheating. You might want to contact ATI or Gigabyte support, and consider trying to get them to RMA it. Good luck though. ATI tried blaming my issues on all sorts of things, like memory problems, power suppy problems, etc. They wanted me to try the hard in a different machine, which I didn't have. Months later I did get a different machine, and the same stuff happened.

Maybe it's a driver/OS problem. If that's the case, moving back to WinXP is probably your only option.
