Question Recording 4 CCTV cameras

Can anyone recommend any software that is free or cheap that I can use to record 4, maybe more cctv cameras.
I already have a SageTV system up and running and would like this to probably be running on a seperate PC as I don't want it to cause any problem with the existing system.
I would like to record video preferably by detecting movement in the video and also accessible via the net.

Thanks
Simon

you could also try Active Webcam here. I think it can handle up to 16 cameras w/ supported capture cards. I've never used more than 3 though. my copy came w/ a 4-input pci card I got off ebay.

it can do PTZ, motion, snapshot emails (used this myself), embedded text, and has a watchdog timer.

Are you using IP cameras, or regular cameras?

If you're using another PC anyhow, just get an AverMedia NV3000 for $130-ish, get regular cameras, and use the included AverMedia software.

That's what I do, although I use the NV5000. The cool thing is that there's a video output that I can cycle through my cams with, I run that into one of my PVR500 channels, and I can view it through SageTV/extenders.
