Stop Recording

Hi. I have a simple question but cannot find the answer.

If SageTV is currenly recording a show (REC) shows up red. How can I tell it to simply stop recording that show?

I found that if I set the recording as Watched, it will stop recording. But I don't want to set the watch flag, I just want to tell SageTV to stop recording current show.

I usually will set it to Don't Like, then start watching the program and then press Stop. I'm with you on this though, there should be an easier way to just say, "No, stop recording that".

I third it....especially cause I have satellite and i occasionally lose my reception during really bad storms, and would need to wait for it to finish recording or change the channel and watch livetv to prevent it from thinking it has already recorded a show when in fact I still need to record that show later. A pre-emptive strike on a wrong recording would allow it to try to record whatever is next on priority list. Of course, I can think of numerous problems implementing this.

I would like the option to stop recording now because:

-I said so
-wrong recording
-don't like
-watched

I thought that there was a "Stop Recording" item on the options menu.

I usually just set the watched flag, and it stops a little later.

And, I think the item in the options menu (at least if you are watching the show) is "Stop Playback", not "Stop Recording", but I'm not on my system right now...

Yeap, the problem with Don't like is that I do like the show, but I need to stop that recording now.

There has to be a stop recording now way?

In all reality, couldn't you just set it back to "liked" once it stops?

However, I whole-heartedly agree that a "Stop Recording Now" feature would be great!
