Hauppauge Remote Blaster Not Blasting...

Hey all,

I rebuilt my computer a couple of months ago, and everything is working fine except the Hauppauge remote blaster has quit working. I have narrowed it down to something no working with the service. I am guessing something is interfering with the service. Would anyone have any idea of common program might be interfering?

I have tried downloading the latest drives and installed them, but it did not help.

Second question. Is there any way to run a program before a scheduled recording? If so, I can restart the IR service just before the channel is switched.

Finally, does anyone know if this is a problem that is likely to exist with the USBUIRT?

I recently configured an HD-PVR along with an HVR 1600. I had the blaster working with the 1600 for a couple hours after installing the HD-PVR but for some reason after a while it would only work with in the hauppague configuration application and not in Sage TV. I already had a USBUIRT sitting around so I just hooked it up instead of bothering with the troubleshooting process.

The USBUIRT has worked flawlessly for me for years in my previous configuration, looks like I will be using it again.
