Yet another QAM / HDHR question

Sorry for asking yet another QAM/HDHR/Sage question.

I'm using the 6.4.7 release candidate, and the latest HDHR program. (I'm also new to the HDHR, so while it works, I don't have a long track record of successful use).

I checked Andy's latest directions (here), and I think I got them all.

I have a couple of recording issues, both, I think, related to recording QAM on the HDHR. I just setup a new Sage Server, and everything else seems to work fine.

I saw tonight two errors:
1) Attempted to record a favorite on analog cable channel 22 (via PVR150). Instead of getting PBS, I got the HDHR-mapped channel 22 (shown below). It's "unknown" because it's the Olympic Soccer channel, not on zap2it.

2) I have to tune to 4.2 to get channel 4.1. Watching them through the HDHR channel editor shows that 4.2 is 4.2, and 4.1 is 4.1. So why is Sage getting them messed up? (Now that I look at the scan list below, when I tune to 4.1, I get 9.1, so everyting seems to be one line off -- any thoughts?)

Maybe the "unknown" channels are messing things up. I'll try again with them disabled once my tuner is free in a few minutes.

OK, I went through the setup procedure, and I think I have it all worked out. I deleted the "unknown"'s that I had, and added guide numbers for all the channels. I had just used the HDHR-assigned number (x.y), but I changed them all to the zap2it number. Seems to work OK. I'll try to enable some favorites to record tonight and see if they are the correct shows.

Matt

Yea, I was gonna say that it's a bad idea to cross the streams, or mix the mode, whatever.

I think you're right.

In your original setup you had assigned just three cable channels a Guide Number and then left the rest to fend for themselves. It's probably better to be consistent, either assign each Guide Number:
1. assign each a cable lineup number
2. assign each a PHY.PGM (ex:21.1)
3. leave all blank
Using different assignment methods in the HDHR setup lineup could cause lookup/translation errors for Sage.

Glad you found the issue.
