WinTV PVR 150, No longer recognized

I'm having a problem with my WinTV PVR 150 card no longer showing up in the list of capture devices in Sage Linux.
The system is running on the stock Gentoo install recommended from way back when.
The card is recognized by Linux. The firmware is uploaded in my dmesg and an ivtv-detect gives me.

Code:
driver: ivtv-0.4.5 (tagged release)
card: WinTV PVR 150, bus info 0000:02:07.0, ivtv card #0
hardware: cx25840 tda9887 wm8775 tveeprom
     /dev/v4l/video0: MPG encoding
     /dev/v4l/radio0: Radio
       /dev/v4l/vbi0: VBI encoding
    /dev/v4l/video24: PCM encoding
    /dev/v4l/video32: YUV encoding

driver: saa7134-0.2.14
card: AVerMedia AVerTVHD MCE A180, bus info PCI:0000:02:0a.0
     /dev/v4l/video1: YUV encoding
       /dev/v4l/vbi1: VBI encoding

When I
Code:
#cp /dev/v4l/video0 test.mpg
I get a playable mpeg2 file

Sage doesn't see the card in my list of tuners although it used to. Any suggestions? I've tried a clean SageTV install to no avail and would like to avoid an OS reinstall.

Fixed

To answer my own question. I guess that the /dev system is queried by Sage as a way to find the cards to list. Creating a symblic link pointing /dev/video0 to /dev/v4l/video0 did the trick and all is well.

Is your link persistent through reboots? You may want to write a udev rule to do that.

Thanks

You were correct, the link wasn't persistent. The odd thing was upon checking the udev rule there should have been a symlink but it wasn't working. I rewrote it to get rid of the v4l sub-directory in the name and now it works. With any luck it won't break something else.
