EPG what happens after my free trial?

I gave up on VMC because I couldn't get analogue and digital tuners working together and Sage TV looked like the answer.

I downloaded the free trial and I'm very happy with it until I started reading about other people's problems with the epg.

When I set up my tuners I selected "Do not use program guide data with this tuner". I still got an epg provided by Zap2it and it seems ok. My question is do I loose this at the end of the trial or when I buy the software?

I have tried to set up a TVTV account but when I try to logon from Sage I get the message "Could not read hardware system id".

It seems like the epg could be the death of Sage for me. Any answers anyone?

Guide data is included with a SageTV license (in the US at least).

Since you're in the UK I doubt you're getting the Zapit EPG but probably the over the air stuff that DVB-T or DVB-S provides. Are you sure you saw it from an analogue feed ?

Most UK people use Birty's RT grabber (Or more recently Digiguide) along with Stephane's XMLTV importer. There's lots of threads on them in the UK section. Mainly because you get 2 weeks worth and the descriptions are better
