Thumbs up Feeling faster!

I would just like to say that since installing the latest beta the dreaded spinning wait circle has not been seen. Nice job guys!

(Having been part of so many feature request and complaint threads lately I thought I should say something nice!)

I didn't look back on your prior threads, but when kinds of things had you been doing that were causing the circles of death, but aren't now?

Browsing around recording lists. It did speed up quite a lot when I did a database clean out, but with the latest update I think I have seen the busy circle perhaps a couple of times.

How did you "clean out" the database?

I just ran with wizard/clearwatched=true once. The main reason for doing this is I have been running Sage for four years and have used many different guide sources. Each one has its own way of producing show IDs and I was seeing some shows being marked as watched in my EPG before the first time they had aired. Clearly some clash in the way the show IDs had been generated.

Obviously now I have to watch the recording schedule for shows I have already seen, but it isn't much of a burden. With two tuners and the lack of good TV on in the UK at the moment I never seem to have scheduling conflicts. I can marked shows as watched after they have recorded and the only disadvantage is that IR may have decided to record something worth watching.
