Is there any way to make Firewire channel changing faster?

I just got it setup but there's about a 1 second delay between entering each number. Which really sucks when you have a 4 digit tuner.

And not to hijack the thread, but in addition to decreasing the delay, it would be nice to be able to send "enter" after a 1- or 2-digit channel number--or leading zeros--which also results in a delay
