Garbled text in Mac Client
I'm having trouble getting the Mac client working and am hoping someone here can help me out.
I've got SageTV (6.3.5) set up on an XP computer acting as the server for the client software (6.2.10) running on a Mac Mini (PPC). The server works fine. I've customized its menus to display Japanese characters.
I've attempted the same changes on the client on my Mac, but it's not working properly. The only way I can get the Japanese to display properly is to disable acceleration. However, when I do this, I only get the sound when I play recordings--no video.
So, does anyone know how I can get Japanese (for that matter, any other language besides English) to display properly in the Mac client and still be able to watch recordings?
I've changed the font to a Japanese system font. I've followed the language customization instructions as best I could on the Mac, although they seem to have been written for Windows. I have made sure the files are saved as UTF-8. I've updated Java. I've even tried multiple fonts.
At this point, I'm not sure what to do. I should also note that I don't know too much about using Macs. I'm primarily a Windows user. The Mac is just a hobby machine I thought I put to use a client.

UPDATE:
This problem has now been resolved. I could not make 6.2.10 work, but installing the current beta version (6.4.4) with the default properties did the trick. Everything renders brilliantly, at least so far. Furthermore, I did not have to edit the SageClient.properties file at all. Nice job Sage!
