Mac client Activation fails

I have run the Mac place shifter since it came out, and I have also some earlier version of the client installed which I never licensed - until today. I installed the v6.2 of the client and tried to activate it with a freshly purchased key - since it is saying that the trial is over - but not a chance. Activation fails and I get the suggestion to contact support which I did.

Any body seen this? This is OS X 10.4.10 (Intel iMac).

The key needs to be entered into the SageTV server preference pane GUI. Failing that, open SageTV and from the Title bar select Sage --> Licenses to enter your key.

In the PC version you enter the key into the server. You can use placeshifter anywhere for "free" but only up to the number of simultaneous users at the same time. Are you sure you purchased the server and registered it and then purchased a placeshifter key on to the server for one simultaneous login, two keys for two simultaneous logins, etc. The client version has a key but you install it one place and it doesn't count as a placeshifter login.

Can a Standard SageTV client key work with the mac version? I no longer use My PC client so i feel my license is wasted. I'd love to use it on my mac.

My V4.0 client license is not valid. On sage's site it says no upgrade license is necessary for v6 clients.

Any ideas?

Is this what you are looking for:

SageTV Client for Macintosh Version 6.2

This is listed right below the Windows client on the SageTV Software part of the store. I don't believe it is the same as a Windows client license, but if you want confirmation of that, contact support.

I have asked support that question last night, no answer that yet. But if there is a special license, than you would want to update the store listings, since I purchased a 'Sage Tv Client License' which IMO should not imply that this is windows. I didn't bother to scroll down...

If it turns out that I bought a windows only license which I don't need - can I exchange it for the MAC version?

Edit: The licenses for MVP and placeshifter are also interchangable, yet they have different codes..

Contact support or use the store's email address. (And, just to confirm: Mac & Windows licenses are different.)

Gah, I hate it when they do that. A client is a client.
