Getting channels not listed in the guide?

I have Dishnetwork and Have Detroit and Flint Local channels but when I setup sage it askes for the zip and only will give me Detroit locals. Is there a way to manually add the Flint channels to the guide?

In SETUP VIDEO SOURCES, select your device tuner and enter Channel Setup then use ADD CHANNEL TO LINEUP. You will need to enter the STATION CALL SIGN to SageTV as it appears in the Zap2it webguide, so go here first. [Look for 'change my location' and enter your zipcode for Flint.

I have a few PBS channels that don't appear in the listings, so I have added them using the manual add feature. I used the station id as listed in zap2it when i named the channel. For example, i added WCVNDT (available in zap2it under 41085/OTA), told it to use channel 8, then entered WCVNDT again in the next box. I can view the channel just fine, but I am not getting any guide info for it even though zap2it has info available.

Check some of the other topics further down in this EPG forum section -- if the channel is OTA-only (ie: is not a part of any cable or satellite lineup), then SageTV cannot get the EPG data from Zap2it. If the station broadcasts EPG data as part of their OTA stream, then data will be available that way.

Thank you. It was an OTA channel, but I found it as a cable channel with a different call sign and that worked.
