Extender volume control
When using the extender volume control for the analog stereo output connections there is often a large variation in volume from show to show and especially between TV and and movies. Now if I set the receiver volume high enought to handle the movies, the volume steps on the low end do not allow for sufficient control on "higher volume" recordings. On client you could adjust this step size. Is there anyway to do this on extender? Even better would be some type of volume normalization. If either of these currently exists then please point me in the right direction to adjust. If not, then this post would be a feature request.

I second this. I also set the TV volume to be high and adjust the HD100 volume (attenuation). I have noticed that the top 80% or so of the HD100 volume does very little to the actual volume. The last 20% is what seems to affect the volume.
I wonder if the volume was implemented via a linear attenuation instead of a logarithmic. Mike |
