Capture Card with Digital Audio?

Anybody know of a capture card that will also capture digital audio (SPDIF) from a set-top box (DirecTV)? I know the new HDPVR will eventually do it (if it doesn't already), but I'm fine right now with SVideo through the HD DirecTV boxes if it would record the full sound (instead of just left/right).

I searched and didn't find any. Anybody know of 1 that works well?

I had the same thoughts, as well. I was thinking of using a sound card that has optical (SPDIF) in and having some way for Sage to capture the audio from there.

The hard part with that is connecting the two... audio and video. I'd be concerned they'd get out of sync... plus it's requiring the CPU to do the work joining the two into 1 file. That's the advantage of a hardware tuner card doing it.

It appears the answer is no... HD-PVR is the only real option. Guess I'll wait for the kinks to be worked out and give it a shot.
