DirecTV Serial Tuning Problems

I have 2 directv receivers hooked up to a computer. one D11-100 and one H21-200. I am able to control the D11-100 with out any issue. I am unable to control the H21-200 for any period of time. I have gotten a couple successful changes in but then it will stop working. I am not sure what to try out to get this working.

Here is what the logs say

Code:
Wed 6/4 19:17:30.990 DTVSerial Valid Command Recognized for handle 55
Wed 6/4 19:17:31.031 DTVSerial Set Top is Processing Request for handle 55
Wed 6/4 19:17:31.039 DTVSerial Command Successful for handle 55
Wed 6/4 19:17:31.039 DTVSerial channel change worked
I also tried copying the .so from 6.3 to see if that would make a difference. I have tried reconfiging the cable and I am able to change the channel from a windows box using the TV translator utility.

Oh yeah I almost forgot I am running the latest beta if that makes any difference. please feel free to move this to the beta section if it makes more sense to go there. I just thought it would get more linux exposure this way

You might try upgrading or reflashing the firmware on the tv translators. I don't have H21s, but D11s and had to do this a while back when I was noticing issues like you mention.

I have upgraded the firmware to version 4.18 which I downloaded from the web. I set all of the settings to the factory defaults as the website indicates. If I use the change channel button in the utility it changes the channel just fine, so my assumption is that it is something in the .so that sage is providing.

For anyone interested I am able to change the channel on my H21 in windows when I set the registry key
Quote:
(create as a DWORD and set to 1 to enable): HKLM\SOFTWARE\Frey Technologies\SageTV\DirecTVSerialFastChannelChanges
However this option is not available on Linux. I contacted support and they are going to add this option for linux in the future.
