More than 4 Encoders?
It's my understanding that Sage will support more than four hardware MPEG encoders. (ref http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...=encoder+limit ) But when I put three or more Hauppauge PVR-500MCE boards in my server Sage only let me access four of the encoders. But my OS reports the presence of all the installed encoder...
So I guess there must be an entry in one of the configuration files to enable support for the additional encoders. I may have missed it but I haven't been able to find mention of it in the documentation of in scanning the setup files. I have the Quad CPU to manage the server and I don't intend to have any transcoding or high resolution channels just store and forward though a Raid0 disk system. I would really appreciate a hint on how the turn this feature on... Thanks for your help Rob... |
