Server won't discover network encoders
I'm having a heck of a time with this setup. I have a main server and three other PC's acting as encoders. Each is running Sage 6.3.9 with a unique licence per box. I set up each box as per Appendix G. Turned off all firewalls. Verified with netstat that ports 8270, 8271, and 6969 are indeed being opened by Sage. I ran it in standalone mode and service mode. When I go into add device only the 3 network encoders (for DVBDream) that I manually entered are present. I made sure to use a different port (6970) for the manually entered encoders. What gives ??

Does your server have more than one NIC? I've found that SageTVClient's server discovery doesn't work very well in that case; it tries to poll the wrong interface or something. Maybe there's a similar issue with network encoder discovery.
