Channel Changing Issue
For some reason my sage will insert an additional number when I try to change channels.. ie: if I am trying to go to 212 it will put in 2212 or if I want to go to 355 it will put in 3355. This doesn't always happen but often enough that I miss recordings because it doesn't change to the correct channel. I have verified that it isn't a high CPU or disk usage issue because I can recreate it with no other activity other than Sage.
Any ideas to help with this would be very helpful. |

With an IR blaster? Purely a guess: I thought I had seen people post about manually changing the RepeatCount in the .IR file, or maybe the delay codes that can be set in the UI in Source Details.

I've had this problem a couple times in the past. For me it was that the IR codes I recorded in Sage didn't take 100%, like as if I didn't have the remote pointed at the IR receiver when I told it to record each digit. So randomly, and without warning, the wrong set of digits would get transmitted and I would wind up with a recording of spanish soap operas instead of battle star galactica.
Rerecording each digit fixed it for me. After I record the ir codes, I test transmit each digit several times to make sure there is no glitchiness.

Razillian, could you please explain "the IR codes I recorded in Sage"? I didn't know there was such functionality. Am I missing something?
Are you actually using a programmable remote? (I am searching the forum for an answer to why channel changes stop working until I restart sagetv service.) Steve |

I noticed this problem as well when I used the LIRCTuner ir blaster that I got from Sage Support. After looking at the code, I could see that it was being passed a repeat count.... I could not figure out how to get the repeat count to be 1, so I commented it out in the code... My IR Blaster has been rock solid since.
