Vista client timeline issue

Recently upgrading a client to Vista to take advantage of the symlinks feature and I'm now having an issue with all digital records (mac firewire transport stream files) and the timeline. For example, when FF or REW (and especially using comskip), the pointer moves properly, but it often jumps to an earlier (when FF) or later part of the show (when REW). Hardware has not changed (8600GT, AMD 4400 X2, Soundblaster USB) and software config has not changed (latest BETA, with timeline fix installed on mac server, latest NVIDIA driver, AC3, VMR9). Problem does not change if using overlay or VMR9.

Playing back the same file and FF and REW works perfectly on the mac server.

Any ideas?

I thought program stream (PS) files was the supported/suggested file type. I have seen many posts lately about TS files and I see they are supported by new betas but has the suggested format changed?

I am sorry I cannot help you with your problem but I had no issues at all with TS files until I was told that PS was the standard. I would like to go back to TS if possible.

I think it is the firewire captures that produce .ts files. All other tuners should be using the .ps file configuration.

You're right Gerry - it is producing TS files.
