SageTV Client can't complete 'record' function

Setup - SageTV Client on computer 1, SageTV ('server') on computer 2 - where computer 2 has the capture card, etc. Running in Service mode. Hauppauge 250 card recording on composite video, channels changed through Cable Box with IR blaster.

On computer 1 (Client) I can view the program guide, click on an item in the guide, choose 'Record Options', choose 'Record this show' (a show in the future, for what it's worth). On clicking 'record this show', the pop-up disappears, but ... no 'record' indicator around the item - no red border, no red dot - but - no error either.

So I then close the client on computer 1, go to the actual server (computer 2) and launch the client there, and go through the exact same process, and ... it works there. I then return to computer 1 (client), and launch the client, repeat the process there, and this time, it works!

It's as if I have to 'touch' the server in order to get the client to behave! It's happened more than once, but not all the time.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

Please set the property debug_logging=TRUE in the Sage.properties and SageClient.properties on both machines while SageTV is not running (and the service is stopped). And then reproduce the problem. Then send all of your sagetv_x.txt & sagetvclient_x.txt files to betatest at sagetv.com so we can look into what's causing this. Thanks in advance for your help. (this issue may be fixed in the latest beta if you're not using that, but I don't recall anything like this coming up...so there's a good chance it isn't which is why I want the logs)
