V 6.3.10 does not "see" mpg files

I am considering a move from GBPVR and am trying out Sage for a few days.

When I set up the video import library, I am being told that there are no files. To the contrary, there is over 50 GB of mpeg 2 recordings!

Anyone have an idea?

The files are MPEG-2, extension MPG.

720X480, 29.97 frames /sec
Audio MPEG-Layer II
stereo
224 kpbs
48 kHZ

Thanks
-Sean

How did you set up the import paths? By any chance, are they mapped drive letters or UNC paths & you are using SageTV in service mode? If so: services can't access mapped drive letters and the service must be configured to log in as a user w/a password who has access to the path for UNC paths to work.

Andy,

Nothing special... the drive is local to the PC running Sage.

Any other thoughts? I guess I'll re-RTFM.

You could try enabling debug logging & see what the log says about the files as it scans the library import dirs.
