multiple tuners

I am used to running only 1 tuner....but if I were to get a tuner such as the Hauppauge 1800, would I be able to use it with BOTH a STB and OTA HD and set certain channels to use OTA HD? Or would I need to always toggle which tuner to use?

Yes, you can use it for both SD from STB and HD from OTA antenna at the same time.

You can configure the channels independently. Sage defaults to recording off HD source if it's available on both - but you can always manually set it to record off STB if for some reason you prefer it...
