Comcast HD Box setup help.

Hello, I'm a newbie here and I need an advice.

I have been using SageTV for few years with WinTV-PVR-150 with Comcast analog cable and no channel box involved. The cable went straight to the WinTV card and everything was nice and simple.

Now I've upgraded to Comcast digital HD plan and got my HD channel box. I'm now confused as to how to hook it up to my PC and to my SageTV.

Here's what I have in mind. I'd like to be able to use SageTV to control the channel box and change channels even to a remote range (like 700+ numbered sport channels), so I'm guessing I need something like USBUIRT for this. I also would like to take advantage of HD, so I'm guessing I need some HD-input capable tuner or video card (DVI or component input).

- Does SageTV support Comcast channels beyond basic range?
- Does SageTV support USBUIRT or any other IR feedback device to control my channel box?
- Are there video or tuner cards capable of handling the HD stream over DVI or YPbPr and does SageTV work with them?

Could some experts give an advice on what to do here.

Thank you very much
Eugene

There Is a R5000HD mod but it does not come cheap.

Just out of curiosity, is your Hauppauge 150 a Media Center version? The non-MCE models should come with an IR blaster and IR receiver included.
