Best Comcast Cable box for use with Sage

Hey there. I'm doing a bit of re-tooling on my Sage setup in order to get a cleaner picture.

I currently have two Motorola 2244 boxes which only have composite output. I'm thinking of exchanging them for a couple models that have S-Video.

Can anybody recommend a particular model that Comcast offers that would give me the best connections/features for use with Sage?

Also, I seem to recall a FAQ or sticky about some changes to the PVR-250 cards to get a cleaner picture. Is there such a sticky regarding tweaks/configurations for cleaning up the picture?
