HDHomeRun and USB-UIRT
I've got SageTV v6.3.10 with Java JRE v6u5 installed and a new HDHomeRun with the latest software (20080307) and firmware (20080305). All ClearQAM channels are coming in just fine in VLC. I have four analog cards (three PVR-250's and one PVR-150) and two HDHR tuners hooked up to the box (one of the PVR-250's is hooked up through S-Video to my cable box so I can tune the digital channels).
I setup the HDHR as a new source in SageTV and when remapping the channels, when I select "View", I see the channels coming in from the HDHR just fine. However, when I completed mapping the channels and try to view a HD channel from the program guide, SageTV tries to tune the QAM channel number on my USB-UIRT and uses my PVR-250 card hooked up through S-Video to tune the channel. The tuner settings for the HDHR sources are: Input type: Digital Tuner Cable/Antenna: Antenna Tuner Control: N/A Both the HDHR and the PVR-250 tuner hooked up to my cable box use the same EPG Lineup. How can I get Sage to tune the QAM channels only when accessing the HDHR and tune the "regular" digital channels on the USB-UIRT when accessing the PVR-250 hooked up to my cable box? |

The 250 is hooked up to my digital cable box and tunes channels with a USB-UIRT - that's why it's using the digital EPG data. The tuner is indeed analog and records the digital channels from my cable box over an S-Video connection.

Then you need to give it a different EPG then you can use the encoder merit to specify which tuner to use first.

I'm not sure I understand this. There are only two EPG lineups available Comcast and Comcast Digital. The regular lineup includes all the analog channels. The digital lineup includes the analog channels as well as the digital ones (I just disable the analog ones). If I want to tune the digital HD channels with the HDHR and the [encrypted] digital SD channels with my cable box (through the PVR-250 hooked up through S-Video), how can I assign different EPG lineups? Wouldn't both devices need the digital lineup?

I believe you will have to select a digital lineup from another nearby zip code. I have never needed to do that. But have seen it recommended.
I also expect that since the PVR-250 is connected to a Digital tuner, it would get a lot more digital channels than the HDHR does. The Clear QAM channels should be the only channels that either tuner can receive. I would expect expect the HDHR would give the best picture for those channels.

I selected the digital lineup from a nearby zip code for the PVR-250, but it looks like it's still tied to the lineup of the HDHR. Whenever I enable/disable a channel in the lineup for the PVR-250, the same channel is enabled/disabled for the HDHR.
If I choose a lineup that's not in the same county, the program info is different, so I can't really use that. |

I tried to find some of the posts where the zip code was mentioned, I did not find them. You might need to start a new thread with a new subject.
You might try using an over the air guide for the HDHR. I think OTA will list most of the channel you get clear QAM.
