SageTV 6.3.5 freezing in FF

Been using Sage TV for years. Was running 6.1.9 for about 6 months, without a glitch. Upgraded to 6.3.5 last week. Now, from time to time, when I FF a recorded video, the client freezes. The only thing that relove this is ALT-CTRL-DEL. Kill Sage. And Restart. Anybody else seeing this? Any hints?

Thanks

Same here. I started noticing it the last couple days. It doesn't do it on the HD extender, but if I'm watching the MVP and FF it will crash both extenders.

If your tuner is a HDHomerun be sure to upgrade it's software and firmware.

I'm having this problem too, and while I have a HDHomerun, it's the recordings on the prv150/500 that are messing. Will check if this fixes things tonight.

nope, running 3 x PVR 250. No changes there. With PlaceShifter, on other PC's, no freeze yet

Yikes, mine does it on the server and the client. I'll try the firmware, then placeshifter too.

I posted a bug defect to Sage Support. They answered very quickly with this suggestion:

"Try using AC3Filter for your audio decoder; see if that fixes the problem."

Been running like this for 3 days, without any freeze Might it be just that?

I've got the same problem. My wife & kids call it the Circle of Death, and call me to come kill the client/reboot. This is with the r5000 tuner, running cyberlink h.264 for video decode, ac3filter for audio. I don't believe I seen it happen with SD from the WinTV PVR.

Ha, seem to have found MY problem. My client was updated to 6.3.10, but I forgot to update the server.

Check versions on all hardware!
