HVR 1600 to record SD and OTA HD?

Hi all,
I'm thinking about getting the HVR 1600 to replace my current SD tuner card.

Can I record OTA and SD with the card within SageTV, or do I have to use it for one or the other?
Will it just select the appropriate tuner on the card based on the channel I choose to record the show from?

You can record one program from each of the two tuners on the card. So, yes, you can record an OTA HD program and an SD program from your cable company at the same time.

Yes, I have 2 of those cards and do exactly that. You will need to set up 2 different epgs -- one for sd cable, and one for OTA HD. Once you do that, it works great!
