WMV VC-1 adavanced profile experience?
I'm interested in using WMV VC-1 for a work application that may be displayed on different home user machines. It may not be the perfect platform, but I'm guessing that more people will have Vista and/or WMP11 than will have H.264 codecs installed.
My question is ... how do VC-1 file sizes stack up against H.264 at similar quality? Really the goal is small small small for me. I've read many comparisons but absolutely no intelligible information on file size. Cory

For all intents and purposes they're the same, the two codecs are more similar than different. If you really want to get down to the nuts and bolts, H.264 is a bit more efficient (smaller size for same quality) but at the cost of higher processing requirements.
