Old dog - ATI TV Wonder Pro

Hi guys, been using an ATI TV Wonder Pro since about 2005. It worked fine for all this time on my analog cable. Server PC crashes this weekend, reinstalling everything, including an upgrade of sage and can't see the tuner card as a source. Googling and searching this form suggests that the card is incompatible.... strange it worked for about 2 years and I've got the gigabytes to prove it. Any thoughts?

TIA

P4 - 2GHz, xp, sage v6.3.5

Try the latest beta 6.3.7 RC. I think there was a bug in the previous 6.3.6.

Even better: there's a whole section of the forum called "SageTV Beta Test Software", where you will find the info about the latest beta, download links, & so on.

Yeah-that's a software decoder card. Look at the Hauppsgue PVr150/500 (500 is a dual tuner) There's newer ones but read the forums for recommendations and/or issues. I have my 2 x nVidia Dual tuners for analog. I don't think they make those any more. Don't look for the cheapest and verify it works with Sage.

Try editing the sage.properties file

I had a video capture device that showed up the first time and then would not show up again. In the sage.properties file there was a line that said:

mmc/ignore_encoders=Creative SB Live\! Series|NVIDIA DualTV YUV Capture|SmartDisk USB Video|SmartDisk USB Audio|Pinnacle WDM PCTV Audio Capture|NVIDIA DualTV YUV Capture 2|Creative SB Live\! External MIDI|

I removed the "SmartDisk USB Video|SmartDisk USB Audio|" section and it showed up again. I suspect you will see it in that line and can remove it, you will see it again.
