HD-100 No response to commands

I just setup my HD-100 last night and had trouble getting it to work. The HD-100 can locate the SageTV server, connects and show the main SageTV screen. However, when I use the remote and/or the buttons on the HD-100 to navigate the menu, there is no response. I tried to disable to WindowsXP firewall on the server machine and there is still no response. I've also tried to enable port access to the ports specified in the manual, though not sure if I setup it correctly. Would not having the ports setup correctly cause this problem?

I may try a clean install of Sage on my server machine, since it was my client before I got the HD-100.

Guess I'm just looking for ways to possibly troubleshoot the problem, or if this is a problem others have had in the past, how they solved it.

Check the server's sage.properties file -- it may have customized values for these properties, which are overriding the defaults that setup how the remote's buttons work:

ui/rc_mappings/<command name>=

You can clear out those lines while SageTV on the server isn't running (stop the service, if using it) & the HD100's remote should work.
