Does anybody have any idea about this sound issue?

I've got the Avermedia Combo PCIe capture card that can capture digital and non digital sources at the same time. Using sage, I can hear sound when listening to a digital source but as soon as I switch over to my cable source then there's no sound? Any idea where to start troubleshooting this? Thanks

Cable via coax or svideo/composite?

Two Cards... each can do one analogue and one digital.. means 4 total sources

1st card goes to coax cable and antenna digital
2nd card goes to svideo from a bell expressvu (canadian) satellite and as well as another feed from the digital antenna

Your connection over svideo is also going to require audio in. But if it is only your cable connection not getting the only thing I can think of to check is to make sure all the inputs of your sound card in properties is not muted. Make sure to check your advanced properties and make sure you see every input your card is capable of.
